Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards - Boss Battles (Boss Rush)
48Funny thing is, this is my first time actually completing this. I'd always fail as a kid at the Dark Matter battle. But it wasn't so terrible this time, it was also my first time attempting it. I should try and clear it without losing any lives. Also, sorry for the quality, forgot to adjust the settings a bit.
Also, there's a slight "surprise" in the end.
Boss #1: Whispy Woods
Very easy to defeat. You must defeat his minions first, though, which can take up some time. Honestly, this is, like, the only challenging Whispy Woods fight in a Kirby game ever. Try to swallow two fruits at the same time for max efficiency.
Boss #2: Pix
You'll have to dodge their attacks in the beginning, but after you reach the top of the tower-like structure you'll be able to hurt them yourself. Hit them with an atom (?) of their same color to deal maximum damage.
Boss #3: Acro
He'll spit various things at you, which you can absorb and attack him with. Try absorbing one of the Fishbones he sometimes spits and hold it so it constantly fires projectiles at the boss, finishing this battle in seconds. For the second part of the fight, it's more of the same but you'll have to do it vertically. Careful not to lose your Fishbone.
Boss #4: Magman
This was my favorite boss as a kid. He has three different attacks on the first part of the fight, each with its own timing. Don't touch the roof, since it'll hurt you and use small jumps to get across the platforms. On the second half of the fight, you can abuse his attacks by absorbing more than one rock or enemy to throw back and finish quickly.
Boss #5: HR-H
A huge robot. Hitting him is tricky, you have to hit his blade-like arms with the projectiles he launches. Watch out for an attack that grabs you. If you can dodge it, absorb both of the rocks it drops to hit him back. On his second form, it's just a matter of "stay calm and keep moving" but I find it easier than the first half.
Boss #6: Dark Matter
Dark Matter has one form for each ability in the game and you can only damage him with said ability while he's in the respective form. All of them have a little trick to it and shouldn't take long to defeat. Once you defeat him in all his forms, the fight's over.
Boss #7: 0² (Zero Two)
For a true final boss, he isn't SO hard. You want to attack, dodge, attack, dodge, not the other way around or else you won't be able to hit his eye. After stunning him, destroy his halo and after that attack his weak point while dodging the mucus. If you're efficient, the fight'll be over in two rounds.
