As a kid, I was never able to do this without taking damage, so this was my first time actually doing just that, and it was really rewarding to see the end screen. When it comes to the fights themselves, it's all about knowing the patterns and executing. If you play this mode enough times, then eventually you'll improve just by knowing how to dodge each attack.
