Knights of the Old Republic is one of the most beloved RPGs of the 2000s, the game that truly put BioWare on the map and made them into one of the most beloved RPG studios in the world, and is perhaps THE fan favourite Star Wars expanded universe story that doesn't star a red-eyed blue guy. It's also a game that is both remarkably competent and deeply flawed, a game that simultaneously reaches for the stars and settles for...not much at all.
It's one of the most interesting games I've played. It's one of the most disappointingly predictable games I've encountered.
