When Konosuba first aired in 2016, it felt like a kind of redemption. There’s so much comedy anime out there, but Konosuba rose above them all by being extraordinarily funny and creative with its gags. It’s not the first to parody isekai, but it did make an impact. And all we can do now is cross our fingers and hope for a Season 3.

OTAQUEST is an initiative dedicated to introducing Japanese pop- and sub-culture to English-speaking fans, direct from Tokyo, Japan.
