I wanted to recreate one of the more interesting aircraft to come out of the Lockheed Martin Skunk works, that aircraft being the Locklheed Martin D-21, a Mach 3 reconnaissance drone developed in the 1960s, that would launch from the back of an SR-71 blackbird!

The D-21 was an unmanned scramjet drone that flew at an altitude of 90,000 feet, or 27 and a half thousand metres, and at speeds of up to Mach 3.3, making it nearly impossible to intercept.

I reckon that all of this would be a useful tool to have in KSP 2 – when multiplayer rolls around I think it would be pretty useful to have a spy drone that can infiltrate a rival space centre – and deploy an attack drone to disrupt an ongoing launch!
