I have finally figured out a way to visit all five moons of Jool with the same craft in both games. I consider this my biggest achievement in KSP since I stopped at Duna back when I was playing KSP 1. And to pull it off in the less-than-ideal conditions in KSP 2 makes me even more proud of the hours spent.

This is my attempt to show that the core gameplay of KSP 2 is not really that different compared to the first one. Apart from the obvious physics bugs and performance issues that plague the game right now the sandbox mode is more or less true to the original.

It is very interesting how close the two games are in the timing of all things. Obviously I needed to speed up some footage here and there in order for specific events to overlap to make it more comparable, but in realtime speed these points were never that far off.

Bugs I have encountered while recording the footage:
- KSP 1: Sliding landing legs. Fixed by editing the config files to enable the friction sliders in the advanced tweakables and adjusting accordingly.
- KSP 1 & 2: During my many restarts I had the occasionally "rocket-blows-up-on-launchpad" disaster because of the vessel size. Reverting to VAB and re-launching fixes this (most of the time, repeat until Physics are happy).
- KSP 2: Graphical issues with Laythe LODs after flyby
- KSP 2: While technically a missing feature the non-existent heat system makes aerobraking on Laythe a hell lot easier as you can go down pretty deep into the atmoshphere with no sweat. At those orbital speeds even slight dips can get dangerous without a heat shield.
- KSP 2: I got stuck in a falling animation twice while walking on Laythe. Turning on and off timewarp fixed this.
