Lawbreakers First Look: Overcharge Titan Multiplayer Gameplay
Lawbreakers is Cliffy B. and his company, BossKey Productions' new game, their take on the "new" hero shooter genre that has been emerging. With emphasis on a gritty tone and zero-gravity, Lawbreakers attempts to change things up, pulling some elements of gameplay from arena shooters.
Sponsored Content Disclaimer: I was invited out to this event in May to come play the game, but this video is not sponsored, nor was I paid to come to the event or put up this gameplay. I am not required by any agreement to upload this footage, but am doing so out of my own volition (and because I did pretty good in this gameplay).
The mode I'm playing in the video is called Overcharge, which is their take on Capture the Flag. In the middle of the map is the battery (and the main zero gravity zone). Teams must take the battery and charge it up in their base, up to 100%. The battery can be stolen by the enemy team at any time, so if the battery is at 95% and the other team swipes it and dumps it in their base, the battery will be at 95%, meaning you need to get it back fast. After it is charged at 100%, a 20 second timer will tick down. If you control it after those 20 seconds, you get a point. The first to 2 points wins.
Right now, the game is only for PC and good luck to whoever wants to attempt to port this to console, because there is so much verticality in this game and I don't think it would work very well on console. It USED to be free-to-play, but will now charge a price to get the game, I don't know the price yet.
I have one more gameplay that I can upload and I'll do that pretty soon, featuring two of the other characters, although I'm not as good in it as I was in this gameplay. I gotta say, I'm usually garbage with rocket characters, but I was really feeling the Titan. The Titan is basically a combination of a Striker and a Stormcaller.
