During regular patrol in an unmarked car, I observed a motorcycle with a back passenger who was not wearing a safety helmet. After running the drivers I.D., it came back not valid. When asked to step off of the bike, the driver chose to run instead. The chase came to a crashing halt, and it was discovered that the passenger was carrying a gun. Both suspects were taken into custody.
