LeapPad Ultra, as with past Leapsters and LeapPads, combines durability, security and a walled off edu-zone where children can explore games designed to "make learning fun." Unlike previous generations, however, this year's LeapPad takes a jump up to the $150 price range which is increasingly crowded with children's Android tablets like Nabi, Kurio and the Kindle Fire HD. It also has features as locked down Wi-Fi, rechargeable batteries, double (front/back) cameras and about 800 selections from LeapFrog's walled off app store. More details will be in the July 2013 issue of Children's Technology Review.
