Left 4 Dead unlocked framerate no frame drops - Xbox 360 (RGH 2025)
New settings for Left 4 Dead with unlocked framerate but this time with vsync off, on a real Xbox 360. With vsync off the game doesn't have frame drops to 30 fps so most of the time it runs at 60 fps but instead of frame drops you have a bit of tearing effect.
Here the previous video 60 fps with vsync on and frame drops: • Video

To get the unlocked framerate with vsunc off you have to:
1. You need a RGH modded Xbox 360
2. Take the engine_360.dll and the shaderapidx9_360.dll files in your Left 4 Dead/bin folder on the xbox 360, copy and paste it in your PC to uncompress/decrypt it with xextool (follow my tutorial for the decrypting/uncompressing part, here • Xbox 360 - Tutorial: how to have 60 ... ) (make a copy of the original engine_360.dll and shaderapidx9_360.dll or rename them (eg. engine_360.dlorig and so on), DON'T OVERWRITE THE ORIGINAL FILE!
3. Open the decrypted/uncompressed file in HxD
4. Search for the location:
In engine_360.dll:
17AA4C (86500a4c in absolute values) and change the 4b ff fd 3d ec to 60 00 00 00
In shaderapidx9_360.dll:
7573C (84cf373c in absolute values) and change the 81 5f 2e 4c to 39 60 00 00
NOTE: if you don't find them, be sure you have selected "hexadecimal values" in the research window and you don't have a title updated (TU) game or another region game (ex. PAL/NTSC). In that case, search for
In engine_360.dll:
4b ff fd 3d 54 6b 06 3e 2b 0b 00 00 40 9a 00 20 c0 1c 00 28 ed a0 f8 2a d1 bc 00 28 38 21 00 90 cb c1 ff c8
In shaderapidx9_360.dll:
81 5f 2e 4c 55 6b 40 2e 80 9f 00 30 55 4a 4e 7e 81 3f 00 38 7d 4b 5b 78 7f 04 48 40 7d 7e eb 78 40 99 00 10
the first are the values to change. They should remain the same also in the TU/different region version.
5. Save the file with the same name but before make a copy of your original engine_360.dll and Shaderapidx9_360.dll, DON'T OVERWRITE THEM!
6. Copy these files back in your folder on the Xbox 360, then start the game as usual
If you wish, let me know what you think about it.
