it should be noted that the pre rendered backgrounds in both versions work correctly when GSM isnt used( I use it to get better image).
I adjusted the general aspect ratio of both version to what they appear like on the TV (Yes PAL version has borders on the top and the bottom with and without GSM, although they are at least centered).
The only thing Sony seems to have done with it before releasing it in Europe was converting cutscenes(both speed and the resolution actually) and making sure the music runs at the same speed.
The gameplay is slower than it should be but the load times are as they should be , all in all not the worst PAL conversion out there; It doesnt even remotely match the magnificent laziness of Square PAL conversions, which were exactly the same as using a standardized NTSC to PAL patch.
Everything here was recorded on a PS2, PAL was forced to 576i and NTSC to 480i and recorded with Elgato HD capture
