Let's get back to basics with another Legend of Legaia speedrun, this time no Terra skips, no sitting around with the slot machines, some actual combat, and most of the story intact, minus a couple of dungeons and one town. A small PB to the No Slots Speedrun of Legaia and minor world record improvement (somehow), mostly because of Nivora Skip that was not known two years ago when I last ran a NG category, as opposed to the safer and more enjoyable NG+ run. With that said , I did lose 11 minutes in Drake Kingdom because the Viguros can kindly go to h-e-double-hockey-sticks and I spend a lot of time kinda upset about that, but we manage to still save just enough time to get a slight improvement to the world record for this speedrun despite all that. It just goes to show that while the NG+ speedrun of Legaia is fairly safe and relies on a lot of luck, the NG speedruns of Legaia are very RNG-dependent, and my arch enemy RNGiygas gets his due today for sure! Since we skipped Koru, we don't need Kemaro, and also can use the Point Card to greatly speed up the Rogue fight, which helps save additional time, though Kemaro would have made the Gaza fights, Rogue's Tower minibosses, and Zora, all somewhat faster. Kind of a wild ride, I talk about my challenges as a streamer, perhaps a little more than is entirely reasonable, as I was quite salty a little about my vlog on my other YouTube Channel, have a few laughs, and I apparently learn that it's kinda lewd to eat french fries these days.
