The Simple Machines Set is an excellent solution for introducing elementary students to key simple machines concepts while building teamwork and communication skills. The activity pack features a series of 16 principle activities, four main activities, and four problem-solving, hands-on activities that will develop elementary students’ understanding of basic physical science concepts such as gears, pulleys, levers, and wheels and axles through observation, reasoning, prediction, and critical thinking. Additionally, the activity pack is aligned to both NSTA and NCTM standards.
