In 1991, Data East partnered with Psygnosis to develop an arcade version of the hit Amiga puzzle-strategy game Lemmings, featuring twin-trackball controls. A near-complete prototype PCB was produced, but the project was cancelled before mass production.

The game works—with minor graphical issues—but it’s fully playable and operational. This arcade conversion never saw release, making the recreated machine unique—a “what might have been” brought to life.
The cabinet is currently exhibited at the Retro Collective’s Arcade Archive in Gloucestershire, UK. #arcade
