Move over Ashton Kutcher, it looks like we may have a multiple Oscar nominee taking over the role of Steve Jobs on the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leo has been approached to take on the role of the late Apple co-founder in yet another biopic, this time for Sony Pictures. DiCaprio is reportedly the first choice for director Danny Boyle, who is currently in talks to take over helming duties from David Fincher, who exited the gig recently over what some have said was financial issues. Leo and Boyle previously worked together back in 2000 on The Beach. This new version of Steve Jobs' life is based on the best-selling book by Walter Isaacson with a script from The Social Network screenwriter Aaron Sorkin. Sources are saying the studio is eager to fast-track production, which could mean Dicaprio's schedule may not work out as he's recently committed to star as another real life person in The Revenant about 19th Century frontiersman, Hugh Glass. Considering 2013's Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher brought in a mere 16 million at the US box office, we're not sure if there's a lot of interest for another movie about Steve Jobs, but the possible addition of Leonardo DiCaprio definitely has us curious.
