Lethal Company Speedrun - Slayer% v69 Solo Unrestricted 29:46.69 (WR)
11I got sick and decided to pick up Slayer% runs again. This is my 2nd completed run for v69 and it is pretty good in my opinion. I think this is world record because no one else speedruns this lethal category.
There are many good things about this run, I quite like my beginning section because it has a lot to keep me busy and is laid out in an efficient way. I use the name 'Puffo' so I can do the reset credits which is allowed in Unrestricted. I also didn't really mess it up this time.
Rend run was a bit weird, I like clipping out of bounds to search the map faster. Butler kill as first kill is rare and not ideal. The hornets are annoying to play around. The nutcracker kill was intentional, for some reason if you jump from far enough over them and don't go back in front they freeze. I probably almost died to it though because of how far away I jumped from because I could have been kicked. Bracken kill was nice to have because it just appeared at the right time.
My two days on Adamance were great. Thumper and Spider without dying back to back is nice to have, normally I would mess up one of them. The Spider was lucky in a sense because of limited space. The Snare Flea was a nice surprise because I only found it because I scanned and saw a new creature. The giant killing tech used here was found on accident during some multiplayer runs. My friend Rocket used the spot to kill Maneater first time as I was guiding him and a giant followed him and we realized that he was completely safe and that the giant could be hit. Normally I would like to kill giant with an egg, because it sets on fire, but this spot is a back up.
Manticoil is weird because sometimes it doesn't play the death chirp. The only strat I use for these birds is one stun grenade and then just wack them. For the Maneater I use a strat that I saw in a @call_me_bread video. I don't think I need to explain Tulip Snakes. For some reason it just gets stuck there. There is also a spot by fire exit on a rock but I find main more consistent. Because Baboon Hawks got their health nerfed it is easy to just go up and hit them 4 times if they are not in a pack. The Dog kill was super lucky, the Nutcracker was a rare spawn and I think baboon hawks got it low. Normally I would bring it to the ship and hit it through the doors but this just worked out. Hoarding Bug was funny because I almost fumbled it badly. If I didn't reload or I missed the run would probably have not been nearly as good.
I then went to Titan because it has the highest Masked spawns. I can just wait outside because they want to path outside when no one is inside.
