Let's Beat Neo-Ridley on a 1% Challenge in Metroid Fusion

Ever watched a killer boss strategy video and thought to yourself, "needs moar epic fail?" Well, this a Let's Beat: A boss strategy video with all the anguish of a Let's Play!
Neo-Ridley is the... official unofficial translated name of the X-infected Ridley you face in Metroid Fusion. Many just call him Ridley-X. This is a strategy where you continually Space Jump into the top left corner and fire shots diagonally down.
This is a strategy I discovered mostly by accident (I was space jumping up to evade his tail and I noticed he doesn't go all the way to the ceiling). Of course, others have probably come up with it long before me, and there's probably a video of the trick done flawlessly somewhere on YouTube if you look hard enough, but I didn't find any.
Whereas most strategy videos would try to use this Description space for highlighting any tricky parts in the strategy, you can find them all highlighted in this video through example. That's my fancy and optimistic way of saying that I die a lot.
