Lets Highlight Life Is Strange Episode 2 Out Of Time
Episode 2 of life is strange is hard hitting and deals with a number of issues from depression, drugs and rape to gas-lighting and suicide. As a result there is no way to review this episode part without talking about some major spoilers, saying that though however the way for the most part the game has dealt with the issues has been very well thought out and designed, with some things occurring where you would have to rewind in order to get the full story without being prompted to do so, and also showing a greater glimpse of life in arcadia bay beyond the main plotline.
There are a number of hints as to how you will have to progress in the main storyline with being made aware of the ability to freeze time, having limited rewind potential and also the fact that you may have to pay closer attention to things and remember little facts in order to be able to get the preferential outcomes later.
There are a couple of minor issues with this episode, namely getting a party invite at the start of the episode which doesn't carry over when the names are actually being drawn up for the party list, and the tp assassin glitching into the doorway, as well as a person gripe that telling someone on a roof ledge to be strong being the positive outcome, other than this however the episode is very enjoyable and the game as a whole is definitely panning out to be an award winning work, where I rarely give out IStars only to very exceptional works, and this would be a game I would rate worthy of a star, and is bound to win awards across multiple categories.
I am very interested to see how things progress beyond this episode, as things could get very divergent from this point, whether you date warren or he's stalking you, whether kate is there to help with the case, or if chloe has the gun to be dangerous with not only to herself but also to max and those around her with her unstable desperate nature, and also whether you attend the party and put yourself in harms way with nathan for evidence or simply avoid the situation entirely.
I am looking forward to episode 3 chaos theory, which by its name demonstrates things could get quite varied and could be a pivotal point of the game itself. I can't wait to see just how different things could get depending on the previous choices and see exactly how things diverge through chaos theory.
