I recently picked up Ark Survival Evolved and so far it's great fun. It's a survival simulator with flipping dinosaurs! You're more than likely to die from thirst, heat, cold, hunger, than of battle wounds if you're careful though.

Yep, you have to keep track of all the things you would if you were really there on the island. So, time to make some clothes, underwear isn't exactly sufficient in keeping warm at night. Always be on the lookout for food, water, and materials you can use for crafting.

Until you get some weapons it's probably not a very good idea to try fighting anything besides perhaps dodos. You'll eventually need their hides for a variety of items. Crafting is as important here as other survival simulators. Can't survive with no tools after all.
