1Guardians of Ember is an isometric styled MMORPG in the same vein as Path of Exile, Diablo, etc, etc. The game is definitely straight out of Korea with the UI, laggy jumps, and all that good Korean MMORPG stuff, including translation issues and grinding. Needless to say, still, it is a good timekiller with giant sparkly explosions and the like. 6/10.

♜ Full MMORPG with Hack’n’Slash-style Combat System
GoE is primarily a MMORPG but the Iso-perspective, reminiscent of many ARPGs, ensures the right angle for smashing your opponents in combat. While as a server-based game it is not as fast as some single player titles, GoE features a full set of MMO features including an open world to freely explore and fight in, Dungeons for Groups, a guild system, and trading.
♜ Nearly Unlimited Character Optimization
Four races and six classes with over 300 active and passive skills, a character editor with a variety of faces, hairstyles, an enormous color palette and the option to adjust every body part makes your character unique! The wide range of skill and item variation allows you to create your own playstyle.

Once you reach level 15 a second class becomes available to add to your character that can be leveled and mastered, adding many more skills to your arsenal. Since you can switch classes at any time, you can master every other class.

Despite being an MMO, you can play all of the PvE story-content alone. Then again, if you want to group up the new Group Finder provides you with a convenient way to find and meet new teammates with whom you can take on the ravaging hordes or other Guardians in PvP.

Over sixty story-based and randomized dungeons offer replayability for single Heroes or group of adventurers. Before entering a dungeon, players can choose from three difficulties, influencing the loot, gold and XP gained upon completion.
♜ Dismantling & Enchanting System
If you are to become Olyndale’s protector, you are going to need powerful gear.Guardian of Ember’s unique crafting system allows you to disassemble items in your inventory for materials that you can use to craft stronger armor and more powerful weapons.
♜ Professions & Crafting
Along the path of crafting the ultimate gear, you will need to improve your crafting skills. Choose from four professions that will determine the types of items you specialize in making. Use the Divining Compass to locate resources and dig them out of the ground with a range of Mining Golems. As you progress you will be able to implement more advanced recipes for mightier items.
♜ Fishing, Planting & Housing System
If you don't feel like fighting for the moment, there are some nice leisure activities you can partake in around Olyndale. Buy furniture for your personal house, grow some nice plants or go fishing at the river.
You can also hire house sprites in your house to help you increase the rarity of minerals, elements, fossils, embers and other useful things.
♜ No Pay to Win!
Buy the game to enjoy all the content. Get vanity items such as costumes, pets, and mounts in Loot Orbs through either daily quests or with level ups. And Deluxe or Ultimate Editions include Expanded Inventory (for each new character) as well as Pets and Mounts already!
♜ PvP Modes
Play 3 vs 3 or set up your own PvP rules with the challenge pass in a Customized Battle. Play 1 vs 1, 5 vs 5 or even irregular matches like 1 vs 3 etc. Your options are unlimited,
♜ NEW: Horde Mode
Alternatively, you could team up in a group of three to five players to beat Horde Mode, a dungeon with ten waves of monsters and bosses that try to destroy the Soul Crystal that you must defend to the death!

Choose from six different classes and extend your skill set by selecting a secondary class once you reach level 15. Fifty-eight different regions with over sixty randomized and challenging dungeons await, where you will battle against monsters, mortals and the living dead during your crusade to retrieve the Ember either solo or in groups.
