Let's Optimize Chip's Challenge! Primary Colors
I realized I hadn't shown my methodologies for tackling a modular level or a level with cloning, yet, so this hits both! I have another 8 or 9 levels on my list, but as per usual requests are totally fine as long as the level in question isn't too complicated.
This was a fun one. Some tricky bits to work out and some non-obvious ways to save a single move here and there.
Update: Miika spotted [1] missed in the first room! Instead of pushing the first block out immediately, it can be saved until the 4 tile FF slide. This makes the 4 tile slide a 5 tile slide, giving an extra spring slide and gaining 1 move. This would yield 339.0 if the glider cooperated, but no ordering of tank button/chip to get different cycles works with the glider (though I did play out a 338.4- 338.6 is optimal, and after I ruled out 339 I stopped for video purposes)
Another update: Ryan told me he got a 340, so I took a look. Missed something really obvious in hindsight, and apparently there are also 2 additional moves to be found in the cloning section. Details forthcoming whenever J.B. scores it- I'm not giving him a bold that easily :P
