We are having a short peek at Winds of Trade from indie studio Hermes Interactive, a trading simulation set in the Age of Sail (18th and 19th century) in a procedurally generated world. You can trade in bulk, smuggle and fulfil contracts to earn money. Invest your money in the stock market. Buy or build new ships, expand your trading empire by creating auto routes. Hire captains that provide additional bonuses and gain experience. Attack your competitors, fight pirates and blockade the ports of your enemies. Once you gain enough trust with one of the factions they might even let you start a colony to secure a steady stream of raw materials…
