Something I haven't paid much attention to yet in the battle scenes: Some enemies have armor, and I don't exactly have a lot of armor busting abilities. Right now, it's pretty much an exclusive property of the G1 Sentinels and their Demolisher Blade ability. I have to hope the other generations unlock some ways to fight armor.
On a side note, please don't take our blurting out of random existing conspiracy theories as us actually believing them. We are just having fun with how conspiratorial this game is making us feel.
