Outside of the grinding, the most notable thing about this stage is that it's the real first platforming challenge the game offers, with several smallish platforms, long jumps, very little solid ground to stand on, and a lot of enemy placements designed to hit you in mid-jump through the middle of the stage. A couple of playthroughs will teach you when to wait before a jump, but there is a learning curve.
