Serious Sammy, a Raven Born Gnomish Druid, clears a lesser undead vault and a lesser Gnoll vault in the Unremarkable Dungeon (UD), before reaching the High Mountain Village (HMV) and seeking out an old barbarian.

Excuse the lack of audio. Highlights of the commentary included:
* Explaining that as spears are trained they provide DV.
* Green Hags can curse equipment when they are within melee range.
* Gray Oozes damage melee weapons when they are hit.
* Oozes reproduce over time, so they should be dealt with quickly.
* When Gnolls are at range, they sometimes throw battle axes that can be sold for a decent amount of gold.
* The HMV sometimes contains a hostile Stone Giant Lord that can easily kill a low level character. Caution is advised; move slowly and keep an escape route open.
* The HMV is also home to:
- The Malicious doctor who will sell a Flesh Golem to Chaotic or Neutral characters.
- Hawkslayer who can be recruited later in the game by Neutral or Lawful characters.
- Gaab'Baay who will give quests to chaotic characters. She is hidden in a secret passage in the east.
- An Ogre Guardian standing guard in front of a generally useless jail.
- A Scroll of Corruption Removal (SoCR), hidden in a northern room that can only be reached via teleportation. There is also a second scroll in the room, but it's purpose is not known.
- A potion of Ultra Healing hidden next to the exit.
* We take the Hardy talent to unlock later talents that provide defensive bonuses.
* Girdles of Greed increase carrying capacity based on how much gold a character has in his/her inventory.
* Crystals of Knowledge reveal part of a dungeon map.
* We can estimate if an item is worth keeping by comparing it's sale price in a store.
* We save a spellbook of Ethereal Bridge until our literacy and learning are higher. This way we can gain more castings from this important book.
* The exit to HMV is hidden in a secret passage in the western part of town. It is separated into two parts, so two sets of searches are needed to find it. The exit leads out onto the world map.
* Once 500 monsters have been killed, the Old Barbarian will assign the Courage Quest. The Courage Quest requires that the character kill 20 additional monsters of the same type as the first monster that the character killed. Once completed, the Old Barbarian teaches the Courage skill. The Courage skill reduces the combat penalty taken when surrounded.
* There is a room in Lawenilothehl, the Outlaw Settlement, where items can be stashed for later. It is best to store certain items if they are weighing your character down or if you are worried about their potential destruction.
* Hitting a friendly monster with a projectile targeted PAST the monster, will reduce the alignment penalty imposed for hitting a friendly monster.
* The shop in Lawenilothehl has high prices unless you join the Thieves Guild.
