As we begin to suffer defeat after defeat, a critical tide turns and we experience more success when we begin to address the threats based on proximity, starting with grenades for the eggs to prevent the face hugger spawns, flame throwers to block the queen from properly chasing us during the very first and second charges, and after a dawn of war 2 retribution charge we are all set to properly grenade the synthetics out of our way, in preparation for many missed rockets on the queen. While kiting her through the narrow passages, we lay critical last possible second mines, We defeat the queen and manage to reach the cerberus control room, but discover we are too late. Using flame throwers to escape, we show them the power of the heat, and make our way to the elevator in preparation for the last attempt for secondary objectives, on the pioneer.
