0We wrap up the second variation on the ending, and with chat's help we find a 'hidden' death that shows what's at the bottom of the pit. Rest assured that Francois is turbo-dead when we knock him down there. And since we wrapped up relatively quickly, we take a bonus look back through Frictional history with the original Penumbra tech demo. Released in 2006, it provides a neat window into both what Penumbra would become, and the foundations of gameplay the team would build upon. I struggle with one particular puzzle, but otherwise it's still a fun little refresher on where they began and how far they've come since.
And with that, Amnesia: The Bunker is complete! Thanks for coming, everyone! Had a great time with this one; they took the right lessons from modern survival horror and added their own spin on it, creating a tense, claustrophobic experience with surprising replayability. I'll definitely be giving this one a replay on some dark and stormy night, and remain excited for whatever the studio chooses to work on next.
