Wonderful game, just got this old thing working. The game is made by Atari and got released 2003. It's obviosly based on the beloved characthers Asterix and Obelix from the comic book series. I belive that the game creators here hit the sweet spot for the feeling of the Asterix and Obelix universe.

While out hunting Wild boars, Dogmatix run away. While searching for their dog, Asterix suddenly finds their home village in fire. The Romans has brunt it down and kidnapped all their friends. A sneaky character who claims to be an ex-roman spy until fired by Julius Cesar sneaks up and give us some clues about what's happened. The journey to rescue are friends begin. Let's play!
