8The Lost Episode 1! After finally unlocking The Lost, part 1 is here! I'll try to figure out the best strategy for playing as The Lost character, in pursuit of the achievements you get for beating the major bosses in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. We'll be in pursuit of The Lost Blue Baby kill, Mom's Heart (It Lives) kill, Isaac kill, Satan kill, and of course the elusive The Lost Boss Rush win! I'm not looking forward to the frustration, but I am looking forward to the challenge.

The Lost is a spoiler character, a secret hidden in the game The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. As a player character, The Lost has no health and cannot pick up HP. This makes The Lost very difficult to play for an obvious reason: if you take damage, you die. The Lost requires players to employ some very specific strategies in order to exceed. The Lost strategy includes things such as using flight to hide over rocks, re-rolling or avoiding items such as HP UPs, flight-only items or items that rely on taking damage, and perhaps even restarting runs over and over in order to get a good Lost start -- perhaps something like Holy Mantle, which allows the player to be immune to 1 hit of Damage per room, or Dead Cat, which gives the player nine lives. These are some of the best strategies for The Lost.

The Lost was originally intended to be unlocked by using the Missing Poster in a Sacrifice Room. Dying in the Sacrifice Room while holding the Missing Poster would yield the player a puzzle piece on Isaac's Last Will (death screen). When combined in the correct fashion, these pieces would depict the characters dying in the method used to unlock The Lost. Some members of the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (BoIR) community insist that the community as a whole was closing in on the unlock process, even without the datamining, and it wouldn't have been long before the character was found organically, but it is impossible to know for sure now.

E: Yep. It's... man. Tyrone's analogy is right. It's true. They couldn't resist it, they had to break it apart. And even though people were actively working on some of the biggest secrets that would have taken awhile to unfold, they said "NOOOOO! I WANT IT ALL NOW!"

E: It's disheartening. It sucks because we're gonna start working on an expansion soon, but we sure as hell aren't gonna fucking take all the time that it took - especially with Simon, who tried his best to really bury the stuff so it would deter people from doing this, but all they see is a challenge, so they're going to dive right in and do it anyway. I can say right now that I don't think the expansion is going to feature any buried secrets that anybody will care about.
