I looked up a bit more on the jukebox, and it seems like the songs are unlocked and accessed via all content done on a profile, not just linked to a save game. I know this, because I let one of my friends play a new game and he reached Stage 4. I also had the tracks for beating Stages 3 & 4 unlocked when I went back to it here, even though I myself hadn't gotten to those points yet in this playthrough.

I might want to have a word with my friend so more stuff isn't accidentally unlocked...
