Let's Play Chantelise - 8 part 3 Optimal
I do remember at one point in this episode I declared something to not be optimal. I was incorrect. Things go much better after I do the thing.
Also, at one point I decide to split the episode, but I merged them in editing because both parts were short (I thought I'd been recording for 10 minutes more than I really had been).
Doesn't prevent me from losing to the boss, but you expected that, right? I think I'll need another run or two for knowledge, then I should beat him. Maybe.
Also, I was looking at a few things online and, while I don't know the content of any future dungeon, I picked up a few points of information I should probably disclose:
There are eventually 4 gem spells
There's eventually another equipment slot
There are 5 dungeons total
There's an equipment item that allows the player to charge up attacks to drain life from enemies
I found what I was actually looking to find, though. Carpe Fulgur, the company which translated Recettear and Chantelise, is working on another project from another company called Fortune Summoners. I am interested in that one. For some reason I thought CF's third project was another Easy Game Station game (sidenote: that's an odd name for the people that made Chantelise), but the third EGS game isn't done yet. That game is will be called Territoire. As it sounds like it's some sort of strategy game, I may not record it. But... eventual Fortune Summoners, maybe.
I am not complaining about the difficulty of Chantelise, by the way, just observing that I wouldn't call it "easy". I think its difficulty is great. If I never Game Over during a game it's too easy.
