This is part Eighty-One of my blind let's play of Dark Souls on Steam. I've found out since this video that there's actually a little underpass area right as you enter the Gaping Dragon battle where you can avoid getting hit by the Magician, but you're basically a sitting duck to the Gaping Dragons.
My Version has two fixes applied: The first is that all HID-compliant game controllers had to be disabled to get the 360 controller to work for this game.
The second is that I placed files in the Dark Souls data folder refered to as the 'DSFix'.
