11My Darkest Dungeon Color of Madness DLC full playthrough.
The Color of Madness DLC is the newly released DLC for Darkest Dungeon, adding several new gameplay elements to the game. It's played concurrently with both the base game and the previous Crimson Court DLC.
New Features:
- A new region, The Farmstead, with gorgeous crystal focused art and really amazing background music. My apologies in advance for humming along!
- A new monster type, Husks, the crystal infused remains of the former inhabitants of The Farmstead.
- New bosses.
- A new wandering boss that'll show up in other regions, The Thing From the Stars.
- New and rebalanced curios, trinkets, quirks, and abilities, with a greater focus on critical hits.
- A reworking of stall or delay mechanics, so you cannot spend 50 turns getting everyone destressed and healed up.
- New material/heirloom type, crystal shards, which are required for buying unique trinkets.
- Endless Mode. Continuous waves of enemies with greater reward for continuing the fight far past where you should have run away.
Also present are two DLC classes I hadn't tried before:
- The Musketeer, a reskin of the Arbalest class.
- The Shieldbreaker, a class focused on dancing in the front ranks, with armor piercing, blocking, and blights.
