Continuing on from the previous part, I get a tour of Floatia from Tokomon.
While there isn't exactly much to look at right now, there is a farm run by Tanemon, and a gym to train in.
After getting some meat from Tanemon, the rest of the tour is spent in the gym as I boost the stats of my Digimon.
Not long into this training session, my digimon evolve into their in-training stage of evolution. (Koromon and Tsunomon.)
Before continuing on with Tokomon's tour, I stay in the gym a bit longer in order to raise my digimon to rookie level.
And what are the first rookie digimon I get in this let's play? Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black)! (This game has a lot of re-colours of some digimon!)
With my newly digivolved digimon, I finish the rest of Tokomon's tour.
Tokomon finishes the tour by pointing out that various buildings can be made and upgraded once more digimon come to the city, as well as explaining a few other things, such as tamer skills.
After talking to the rest of the baby digimon in Floatia, (One of them explains the tamer skill stuff in more detail than Tokomon did.) I finally head outside the city for the first time!
And the first thing I run into is Patamon! Suspicious of us possibly being behind the Machinedramon attack, and with the game still in tutorial mode, we have to battle this Patamon.
After winning this pretty easy battle, we clear up the misunderstanding, and invite Patamon to return to the city.
Realising we aren't a bad guy, Patamon apologises and goes back to the city.
As I also return to the city, Jijimon calls us over to tell us that Patamon has joined the city and set up a warehouse. (It's pretty much the same thing as Agumon did in the first Digimon world with the bank.)
After talking to Poyomon and Botamon (Who I somehow overlooked until now!) in Jijimon's house, I head back out into nigh plains.
With the game still in tutorial mode, I pick up some fruit and mushrooms, mine materials that can later be used to build things in the city, and battle a Goblimon in another tutorial battle! (The start of this game is just full of tutorials!)
After easily taking down that Goblimon, one would think that battling the digimon around here would be pretty easy, right? ...right? Wrong!
Taking on a Numemon in nigh plains with my current underpowered digimon proves to be a terrible idea! (I should also note that Goblimon roam the plains during the day, while Numemon roam during the night.)
Despite being a very weak champion level, this one Numemon destroys my digimon in a one sided battle! (This game can be pretty unbalanced unless you raise your stats a lot!)
Returning to Floatia with my injured digimon, I heal their injuries with some bandages.
After doing that, I head into the gym so my digimon can have somewhere to sleep.
Moving onto the next morning, I get some more meat from Tanemon, feed my digimon, and talk to Patamon.
With that Numemon battle showing that this game can be pretty tough if you're underleveled, what will I do next? Train some more, of course!
