This Enslaved: Odyssey to the West playthrough is brought to you courtesy of Andrew M, who won the Extra Life 2014 grand prize and requested that I LP it.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was developed by Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword, DmC: Devil May Cry), and Written by Alex Garland of 28 Days Later and Dredd (2012) fame.

While the game's combat is much improved from Heavenly Sword, it and the platforming both take a backseat to Garland's excellent script, terrific characterization and character development, and visual spectacle.

The game is loosely based on Journey to the West, a Chinese novel from the 16th century. Enslaved follows Monkey who is bound in servitude to Trip. She uses Monkey to journey across a post-apocalyptic landscape in an attempt to get home. The game generally focuses on the remnants of civilization remaining along with the relationship between Monkey and Trip.
