Let's Play Everspace #19 - HARDCORE Run, Just for Fun,
0Daddy Gaming brings you a one-off Everspace episode in our 19th installment. In it, we take a Colonial Scout into HARDCORE Mode and attempt a run.
HARDCORE mode is a special variant where none of your Pilot Perks, nor Enhancement subroutines are available, and your ship is completely unperked upon launch. When you take a Jump Gate into the next sector only then do you spend the cash you've collected in the previous sector on your ship Perks.
My usual method in HARDCORE is to spread the cash across Energy capacity and regen and Engine velocity and boost acceleration up to a few levels and then improve later the Devices and Consumables and Hull depending on the weaknesses of the ship. In this case, the Hull isn't as critical to the Scout as its Energy and Speed, whereas if we were flying the Gunship, the Hull would take a higher priority in the upgrade list.
