Fantasy General is a classic hex-based PC wargame put out by SSI in 1996, following on from the success of Panzer General in 1994. Fantasy General plunges the player into a struggle to recapture the world of Aer, which languishes under the iron fist of the enigmatic Shadowlord, and hands them a complex force of units ranging from dudes with axes to centaurs, werecreatures, rocketships, and guys with rifles hanging from balloons. Despite the lighthearted atmosphere, however, the strategy involved is deceptively complex!
