If the patch made one thing easier, it was getting on top of the pillars to find the hidden items. All you need is a Chemist with Teleport, Fly, or Ignore Height. In the vanilla version, you had to bring a heavy monster and high jump and use your own monster as a stepping stone.

As for the fight itself, Worker 7 will blast you with long ranged 100% accurate physical attacks. Worker 7 is immune to magic and can full restore his health with Power Sources.

The hydras do significant damage with breath attacks that go in three directions.

As for the hidden items. There is strongest spear in the game that can proc Zodiac on hit, strongest shield in the game, a decent ninja sword that has +1 speed, and a goofy sword that has 1 Weapon Power but provides +1 to pretty much all stats while having a chance to proc Frog.
