Time for some cheating Engineers. First, some are dual wielding guns which is of course not a legal combination. Some are equipped with swords despite not having Equip Sword. All are immune to status effects and Dark element as well.

So these guys are very fast and their opening moves is to hit with Mosfungus Bombs to slow and poison majority of the party. Some also have Battle Skill, allowing them to break your gear. Oh and don't forget Arm Aim which can inflict Don't Act.

So, status immunity and maintenance are musts for this fight. Then the only danger is the magic users and the two sword users. The guns themselves don't really hurt that much. (64 base damage per hit).
