Kaiser Dragon can give you a run for your money if you are careless or just plain unlucky. Whenever it uses Barrier Change, it can use one of eight attack patterns, each with an element trait, as well as their own counter. Not only that, but the damage you inflicted will be reset, and he'll get back to 65000 HP. Even if you do 65000 HP worth of damage before he uses Barrier Change again, he'll just cast it automatically, so there's little reason to get aggressive off the bat. After five Barrier Changes, he's fair game to strike and try to kill, but he's still deadly. Be sure Reraise or a Runic is up, or you're dead from his Ultima attack. Win, and you'll get the Diabolos magicite, though you can get it before fighting him as long as you have Sprint Shoes equipped, go into the menu, hold up, return to the game, and you'll bypass Kaiser Dragon to grab Diabolos. Not only is Gravija very effective, but the +100% boost in HP gain from a level up doesn't hurt either...especially if you use Ultima Weapon or Valiant Knife. Next up is the Soul Shrine.
