I hate this goddamn chapter.

In this episode, we open up by seeing the prisoners being shoved into Shifu Swamp by bandits working with the Begnion soldiers, led by Thunder Sage Radmin. Micaiah comes in just in time to even the playing field. Radmin, however, springs the trap, and an ambush has been set. Micky counters this trap with a trap of her own, as Tormod and Nailah rain hell on the soldiers!

There will be blood.

I hate Chapter 8. I really do. It's a rout mission, but you must also protect the prisoners in the swamp. If they all die, it's a Game Over. You have a lot of units forced on you, and half of them just get in the way. You can only bring 4 of your own, and not having access to Jill is a MAJOR downer. The swamp and thickets cut your movement, the enemies are sporadic and fairly powerful, and they have Dracoknights on their side, which is about the biggest dick move I've seen in a while. If you bought that Wyrmslayer, it wouldn't be a bad idea to use it here.

Fortunately, you've got some power on your own side.

First is Rafiel, the first of the three Herons you get in the game. Each of the herons have a few traits unique to them that separates them from the others. Rafiel is the middleground of the trio. He has only 5 base movement, regardless of what form he's in, and cannot fly, thus no Canto skill. However, he's able to chant to all units adjacent to him regardless of what form he's in, which is a huge plus. It is recommended that you give Rafiel the Celerity skill to extend his usefulness.
(I won't be doing that, though...)

Next is Nailah, the Wolf Queen of Hatari, and if your first impression of her stats was "o_o", well, it's warranted. She's literally a monster that no enemy in Part I will survive against, as she has Tier 3 stats(which I talk about at length in this video) and a solid skillset. Being a Laguz Royal, she has access to Formshift, a skill used by Laguz Royals that lets them shift whenever they want and stay shifted indefinitely, which immediately puts these laguz in an entirely different league than most units. She also has the unique Glare skill, which petrifies an enemy by command. She also has Savage, the Wolf Mastery Skill, which triples her Strength and cuts Skill in half for a turn. Finally, she has 3 Authority Stars.

In all honesty, Nailah can take these enemies no problem even if their stats were doubled. By proxy, she can take 'em untransformed. That's how dangerous she is.
