I learned from the speedrun that you apparently get the double/triple dash/blink when you use them right into a loading zone. Not sure why or when it wears off though.

I also saw that there wasn't anything special at the depleted power source. It almost certainly is nothing, but the only thing left to try would be to do it in one sitting, under a certain time, while never dying or restarting (he did). Go nuts.
