Let's Play the first of the Gold Box SSI Savage Frontier Forgotten Realms AD&D games: "Gateway to the Savage Frontier"!

We encounter some shambling mounds and giant snakes in the forest. The snakes each have a TON of leather armor, as well as leather armor +1, while the shambling mounds have magic plate mail, shields, composite long bows, ioun stones, and cloaks of displacement. What is up with that?

Oh, and we meet some Aarakocra who help us further our quest, taking us to Ceptienne's maze.
