Taking on the Ruin Guard... Will my boss fights without a game over screen streak continue?

If your stats aren't as high as me you will have to defend against the Meteor Strike (I probably should have defended it too to be honest). Even so if my characters don't have full life they hug the floor. Taking out the other two pieces first is probably the best option.

Sadly this jerk has Vanish, so spending a ton of MP to raise stats isn't a great idea. However even getting a couple attacks in with +attack is a big help. Gathering everyone up and using Mirage could make it possible to ignore the Axe (possibly). Personally I wouldn't take the chance and take it out.
