Here we have yet another let's play: Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards on the Nintendo 64 (yes, this was the game I indirectly teased pretty recently). So, basically, to sum up the beginning of the plot here: Dark Matter takes over a planet full of fairies. Ribbon (one of the fairies) escapes Dark Matter's wrath, but not before taking with her a sacred crystal, which some black eyeballs formed from Dark Matter break the crystal apart into pieces, and with the help of Kirby, Adeleine (who I assume is introduced in this game), Waddle Dee, and King Dedede (both of whom are now on the side of good for some reason), to put the crystal back together and stop Dark Matter. Although, Kirby pretty much does most (if not, nearly all) of that work, starting with battling the other 3 friends that get possessed by the eyeballs on his home planet Pop Star. Not to mention yet another battle against Whispy Woods, but all of those are relative pushovers.

And, in terms of gameplay, it's similar to Super Star, except each ability only gets 1 move, and there's a couple other new gimmicks to this game: first of all, Kirby can only fly for a limited time in this one, unlike Super Star. Secondly, he can also combine different abilities to create brand new ones. And, that's pretty much it for now. Next time, we move on to Rock Star.
