This is part 19 of my 25 part let's play and walkthrough series of Legends of Pegasus. No one has publicly finished this game before and I'm not even sure if anyone has privately either, but I have! And now I'm going to show you how.

ABOUT:
For my first ever let’s play series and I’ve chosen something very rare. The abandoned, long forgotten and hard to find 4X turn based space strategy game Legends of Pegasus! As my regular followers would know I like doing videos of rare games and fan projects so I couldn’t resist doing this one. Most games that weren’t popular still have little cult groups of fans posting guides, strategies and cool bug fix patches but not this one. LoP was universally disliked by all due to being released way too early and being incomplete & horribly buggy.

Due to the savage fan and critic response LoP was abandoned by its publisher Kalypso after only a couple of months resulting in its developer Novacore Studios going bankrupt and the game being removed off steam and many refunds given out to the angry mob. The game has almost been wiped from existence! Pretty much the only way you can get it these days are via old physical copies on ebay which thankfully still work on steam (& will update to final version).

Now roughly 4 or so years ago I didn’t know about any of this when I saw a great looking 4X space game for $5 AUD in a bargain bin at a local game shop and I purchased it. I’ve always been a huge fan of MOO and specifically 4X space strategy games where you can place buildings on the colony surface like Ascendancy and Imperium Galactica so when I saw a new modern game using that same style I couldn’t resist.

When I discovered all the bad news I never bothered to install it and try the game out, until now. I recently decided to try out the game to get some material for my new Imperium Galactica Series & similar games website and much to my surprise thanks to Novacores final patches the game is actually pretty playable, quite fun and I found it was not quite as impossibly broken as people had made it sound. I looked at all the other let’s play videos on youtube and was surprised to see that NO one else had got past mission 2. Even the German ones, which is where the game came from so you’d half expect some diehard fans there. So then and there I decided to do my own lets play series and try to find a way around all the bugs and finish this game. If I couldn’t finish it, then I would at least take curious fans further than anyone has seen before.

Sure enough I encountered some serious game ending bugs and hair pulling problems but in every case I was able to find a way around them and I’m pleased to say that I have just completed the game. Yes.. REALLY! In this series I'm going to show you guys how I did it! Enjoy!

NOTES:
- Sorry about the sniffling, I was getting over some sinus surgery.
- Some of these missions took me 5-10hrs to complete, so I’ve fast forwarded through all the boring micromanaging and grinding bits. If you really want to see what I was doing in those bits just use the YouTube speed controls to slow down the video when you need to.
