Lone Survivor is 2D survival horror game developed by Jasper Byrne of Superflat Games. Byrne is best known for his work on the Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2 OSTs along with a suite of freeware games, including a low-fi pixel art demake of Silent Hill 2 titled, "Soundless Mountain 2."
He wears his influences on his sleeve and infuses his love for Silent Hill into Lone Survivor. That isn't to say Lone Survivor is necessarily derivative of Silent Hill, but that it achieves much of what Silent Hill managed to accomplish. In short, it is a wonderfully chilling, evocative horror game that is tense all throughout.
