Alright, just consider these descriptions to be "strictly for after watching the video" material from this point on.

To start off with something I just forgot to mention anywhere else: there's a deleted scene in the game where Mad Rat asks what he was doing when he thought he killed the scientist. Heart's response is an amusing "...you gave that flower a real mean kick." I'm surprised that didn't make it in, given how everyone finds it pretty funny.

I do have to wonder why the journal and what they call back to never get mentioned much by fans of the game. I admit the questions up front are a bit out of nowhere and awkward to answer, and it probably lessens the impact when you have no idea what you were really saying. In fact, I don't think I've ever even seen someone ponder what this was supposed to accomplish. A last effort to evoke some empathy by trying to get you to put yourself in their place, I suppose? Apologies for choosing the less popular option here, anyways, because I do think the other one is a bit more appropriate for the character arc. Maybe I should've gone back and shown the other option, since the game probably lets you if you replay the level with cutscenes enabled.

I also have to admit, that is some comically upbeat music for contemplating murder.

I do eventually get to what I wanted to say in this episode, by the way. Eventually.
