We leave the Citadel and make planetfall for the first time on Therum on the Artemis Tau cluster, looking for Dr. Liari T'Soni, daughter of Asari Matriarch Benezia, who is assisting rogue specter Saren in his attempt to use the Geth to bring back the Reapers.

This is the first in our new Spectator Mode series, where we try to co-op games that don't actually have co-op. First up, the sweeping space opera Mass Effect, that has all the classic RPG features that Bungie's Destiny left out, as well as all the clumsy third person shooting features they never put in.

WARNING: This is an "adult game" with "adult themes" whatever that means. What it means for this playthrough is that characters are going to use some mild language that might be inappropriate for small children, and we're not going to be censoring it or ourselves. We're still going to avoid f-bombs and particularly graphic language, but be warned, this isn't going to be as squeaky clean as some of our other series.

We're also leaving in conversations as well as combat; the trimming on this series will be minimal, but we'll start each episode with a recap of major events.
