I will be taking on the main bosses to the game with the X-Buster and not the weaknesses. I'm doing this purely for challenge purposes, because I quite frankly find the game too easy otherwise. I will be using boss weaknesses against the 8 Mavericks in the Fortress levels only to prove my point.
DON'T MOAN ABOUT IT.
I will be going in a order that means I have to do less backtracking to obtain all the items.
While I know subscribers don't complain that I don't use the boss weaknesses, apparently there are a lot of people that do. (Huh?! I don't get the logic either.)
Storm Eagle is by far and away the easiest boss in the game, X-Buster wise, and if you don't charge up your shots, (like here) you can kill him very quickly! (Mostly because unlike the rest of the bosses, Eagle stands there for most of the battle. XD)
With two of his four moves not doing any damage, (bleh?) his chances of actually killing you are slim.
Granted, his Divebomb move is tricky to dodge, but I generally kill him before he starts to do it.
If you're really unlucky he'll start straight away, but generally you can just stand there and dash out of the way when you see him dive. As with all bosses in this game, it's entirely possible to get unlucky and have him do nothing but Divebomb. Conventional wisdom says charge up here, but I disagree, you end up missing more if you are waiting to fire off a shot as opposed to just reacting and doing it.
